Mark a book paper online

  1. Sit the paper on paper. One paper at a sitting, against the clock, using the answer sheet.
  2. Scan the QR code on the paper’s first page or its answer sheet, or open your book in the list above and choose the paper.
  3. Sign in. A parent account is free and takes a minute to make.
  4. Tap in the answers. Prism marks the paper, gives the reason behind every wrong option and shows the topics to practise next.

The paper online is built from the paper code printed in the book, so the questions on screen are exactly the ones on the page.

Questions parents ask

Do any questions repeat between the books?

No. Each book is a different complete set. Across all 9 books there are 1971 questions and no question appears in more than one book. Every book also has its own reading passage.

Which book should we start with?

Any of them. The books are all at the same standard and can be sat in any order, so start with Book 1 and move on when you want a fresh set of papers.

What standard are the papers?

The standard expected by the autumn of Year 6, when most 11 Plus tests are sat. A child in Year 5 should expect to find some questions hard; those are the ones that show what to learn next.

How does the online marking work?

Every paper in a book has a QR code and a paper code. Scan the code, or choose the book and paper on this page, sign in and tap in your child’s answers. Prism marks the paper, explains each wrong option and shows which topics lost marks. A parent account is free.

Are these real past papers?

No. Every question is original and written for Prism Learning, in the multiple-choice style of GL Assessment papers. Prism Learning is not connected with or endorsed by GL Assessment or any school.

Can a tutor or a school use the books?

Yes. Tutor accounts on Prism are free, so a tutor can set a book paper as homework and see each pupil’s marked result. The answer sheets in a book may be copied for use in the home of the family who bought it.

Want a fresh paper whenever your child is ready for one?

Prism starts with a free assessment across maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, then builds a weekly plan for your target schools. Parents follow progress free.
